Governance, risk and compliance (GRC)
We implemented eramba as a framework for governance, risk, and compliance (including but not limited to soc 2 type 2, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS). GRC framework at our core is a competitive advantage which will increase satisfaction of our customers and employees, and result in improved quality for all. We continually consult and update eramba as we implement new customers, data flows, and modify policies. A few examples of documents important to our GRC are our customer data policy, code of conduct, project management standards, and many more.
We’ve even leveraged document templates from erambas Open Source GRC platform while building our own. You can learn more about eramba GRC at their website. We’ve also shared a screen shot from their live demo below.
Remote monitoring & management (RMM)
For our remote monitoring & management software, we use Tactical RMM. This enables us to offer automated patching, remote connections to workstations, asset tracking, reporting, and more.

Ticket management, email support, and chat support
Our ticketing, email, and chat support is powered by Zammad. We’ve shared a preview screenshot below, and, if you’re curious, can view more screenshots here.
Integrations
Our RMM and ticketing platforms are capable of LDAP integration with Active Directory/Microsoft Entra/Azure AD, enabling single sign-on (SSO) with your corporate credentials. SAML authentication is supported for Microsoft 365 and Google accounts. Integration with your company’s domain is also possible. Being able to enter a helpdesk ticket at “yourdomain.com/helpdesk” might be a comfortable familiarity to your team if outsourcing a major support function.
Website platform
Hugo is the static site generator our website is built on. The base website has a recurring cost of only $10/year, and runs on serverless infrastructure. Shout out to JavaScript, BootStrap, fontawesome, and all of the other open source packages that make it possible.

Operating systems
Debian & Ubuntu are utilized to host above and other applications used by our staff. Ubuntu is used leveraged by some team members as their desktop operating system. Both platforms run the open source Linux kernel.
Firewall
OpnSense for it’s powerful security without breaking the bank. OpnSense runs on the FreeBSD operating system, another enterprise class open source platform.
Virtualization
Proxmox VE hypervisor and Proxmox backup server to spin up test environments, isolate sensitive data, and to perform local, automated server backups for our virtual machines and and linux containers.
Image editing
GIMP (GNU image manipulation program) to resize and modify images.
Documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
LibreOffice for creating text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
